TruckWyze is designed to help drivers plan with their saved truck profile, understand the road ahead, find useful stops, and keep trip information organized. Routes and map information are planning aids—not a replacement for signs, permits, dispatch instructions, or driver judgment.

Privacy policy

How TruckWyze handles data

TruckWyze provides truck-route planning, turn-by-turn guidance, nearby roadside information, trip tools, community features, and an optional voice assistant. This policy applies to the TruckWyze mobile app and related services operated under the TruckWyze name.

Information you provide

• Account and sign-in information needed to authenticate you, such as an email address, phone sign-in credential, or identity supplied by Apple or Google.
• Truck profiles and route preferences, including dimensions, weights, axle count, fuel settings, and avoidance choices.
• Trip records, operating-cost entries, presets, community posts, Road Reports, ratings, notes, photos, and documents you choose to add.
• Support messages and account-deletion requests sent to us.

Information used while features are active

• Location: current location, route progress, direction, and nearby-road context are used for maps, route guidance, nearby services, weather context, and driver-submitted Road Reports. Background location is used only while active guidance requires it and stops when guidance ends or the app is force-closed.
• Microphone and voice: audio is used only when you start Driver Assistant voice chat. Audio and limited road context may be sent securely to the voice-service provider to answer your request.
• Camera and files: only content you choose to capture or attach is processed for the feature you selected.
• Technical data: basic device, app, security, crash, and network information may be processed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

How information is used

We use information to provide requested routes and guidance, restore saved settings, calculate trip information, operate account and community features, show relevant nearby information, respond to support, prevent abuse, and maintain service security. TruckWyze does not sell personal information.

Service providers

TruckWyze may use service providers for hosting, authentication, maps and geocoding, route calculation, traffic and weather information, app distribution, and optional voice responses. Depending on the feature, these may include Google or Firebase, Apple, TomTom, OpenStreetMap-based services, NOAA/NWS, OpenAI, Expo, and cloud-hosting providers. They process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

Sharing and public content

Information is shared only as needed to provide a feature, comply with law, protect safety and security, or when you choose to publish content. Community posts and Road Reports are visible to other drivers as labeled community content. TruckWyze minimizes precise location in public views and requires confirmation before publishing a voice-created report.

Retention and deletion

Local preferences may remain on your device until you clear them or uninstall the app. Account-linked information is retained while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and maintain security. Temporary Road Reports expire automatically. You may request account deletion using the instructions below.

Security and choices

TruckWyze uses access controls and encrypted network connections designed to protect information. No system is perfectly secure. You can control app permissions through your device, stop guidance to end active route tracking, avoid posting community content, and request deletion of your account.

Children

TruckWyze is intended for adult drivers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Email the TruckWyze support team with a short description of the issue, your device type, and the app version. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, full payment-card numbers, or unnecessary precise location history.

Account deletion

Delete your TruckWyze account and data

You can request permanent deletion of your TruckWyze account and associated account data even if you no longer have the app installed.

1. Email truckwyze@gmail.com from the address connected to your account when possible.
2. Use the subject Delete my TruckWyze account and include only the account identifier needed to locate the account. Never send a password or verification code.
3. We may ask for limited verification to prevent another person from deleting your account. After verification, we will delete or de-identify account data unless specific information must be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or an active dispute.
