Privacy Policy
TruckWyze provides truck-route planning, turn-by-turn guidance, nearby roadside information, trip tools, community features, and an optional voice assistant. This policy applies to the TruckWyze mobile app and related services.
Information you provide
- Account and sign-in information, such as an email address, phone credential, or identity supplied by Apple or Google.
- Truck profiles and route preferences, including dimensions, weights, axle count, fuel settings, and avoidance choices.
- Trip records, presets, operating-cost entries, community posts, Road Reports, ratings, notes, photos, and documents you choose to add.
- Support messages and account-deletion requests.
Information used while features are active
- Location: current location, route progress, direction, and nearby-road context support maps, route guidance, nearby services, weather, and Road Reports. Background location is used only while active guidance requires it.
- Microphone and voice: audio is used only when you start Driver Assistant voice chat. Audio and limited road context may be sent securely to the voice-service provider.
- Camera and files: only content you choose to capture or attach is processed.
- Technical data: basic device, app, security, crash, and network information may be processed to operate and secure the service.
Use, sharing, and service providers
We use information to provide requested features, restore settings, calculate trip information, respond to support, prevent abuse, and maintain security. TruckWyze does not sell personal information. Providers may support hosting, authentication, maps, routing, traffic, weather, app distribution, and voice responses. Depending on the feature, these may include Google or Firebase, Apple, TomTom, OpenStreetMap-based services, NOAA/NWS, OpenAI, Expo, and cloud-hosting providers.
Public content and location
Community posts and Road Reports are visible to other drivers as labeled community content. TruckWyze minimizes precise location in public views and requires confirmation before publishing a voice-created report.
Retention, deletion, and choices
Account-linked information is retained while your account is active and as reasonably needed for the service, security, disputes, and legal obligations. Temporary Road Reports expire automatically. You may control permissions in device settings and request deletion on our account deletion page.
Children and security
TruckWyze is intended for adult drivers and is not directed to children under 13. We use access controls and encrypted network connections designed to protect information, though no system is perfectly secure.
